Growing Old is a Disease No One Knows

Growing Old is a Disease No One Knows
By: emjozar

Do you still have time to read this?
Or are you “on the go” to do things?
I was actually too busy to write,
But then it’s been a year since the last time I tried.

Time flies so fast,
We’re all aging even the atlas,
Have you ever thought of going back to the start?
To make things better and remove all the bad parts?

Can you still remember the days when you were young?
Playing all the toys and shouting out loud in front of a fan?
Have you ever thought of breaking free?
Go on, sing and dance under a big tree?

Have you ever thought of going back to your old self?
To take back all the innocence and go back reading books from the shelves?
Have you ever thought of time?
It’s moving like everyone is being left behind.

I never thought that I’ll be at this point,
I’m in the midlife crisis where I want to go back at certain points,
It feels like getting older than old,
I wanted to have control of time and from then make it gold.

I’m quite lost at the moment,
But I think that “before and now” are just congruent.
I’m not even sure if I’m growing up better,
But this time I need to make sure that I’m not making things bitter.

I am growing old, we are growing old,
We are learning, seeing things, finding truths and getting bold.
We are doing things better than before but we are all getting weak.
Why is that growing old makes me sick?

Growing old is a disease no one knows,
It’s like a transition from day to night as the wind blows.
Well, we don’t have a choice but to live and grow,
Let’s just focus on what matters and don’t give up on tomorrows.
